Cody Lucas is an actor, playwright, and director currently living in Chicago where he's a company member with The Agency Theater Collective. He is a graduate of the University of North Texas where he received his BA in Theatre Arts. While in college, Lucas co-founded Sundown Collaborative Theatre, a successful non-profit theatre company, and served as Artistic Director for five years.
Lucas has written, directed, produced, and acted in dozens of shows appearing on stages in DFW, New York, and Chicago. As a playwright his work has been seen at the Out Of The Loop Fringe Festival and the New York International Fringe Festival. He was also a contributing playwright to the 1st and 2nd Dallas One-Minute Play Festivals. His most recent play, Truth in Context, was produced by The Agency in the summer of 2015 and nominated for a Jeff Award for Best New Work.
In Chicago, Lucas most recently appeared as Peter Pan in Stage B Theatre Company's Peter Pan: The Boy Who Hated Mothers and The Agency's acclaimed original show, I Wish to Apologize to the People of Illinois. He'll next be directing Metroplis Triptych by Brian D. Foster in the 2016 Chicago Fringe Festival and appearing in Chagrin Falls by Mia McCullogh for The Agency in the fall of 2016.
